ZLet’s test your abilities- For canons only[/i]Z
w What canon are you applying for?
Wrath
w Are you sure you can keep this canon in character? Why? Details, please.
I am almost certain I can keep this canon in character... for several reasons. The first being that I am a canon nazi when it comes to myself. I am always paranoid that I'm not in-character enough with my posts, so I often review my own posts at least twice before actually posting. And although Wrath is my favorite character on Fullmetal Alchemist, I originally wasn't planning to take him because I believe that a few other characters would be easier for me to portray. I am taking Wrath for the sole reason that I am worried that I may not be pleased with the way someone else may portray him. For that reason alone I can assure you that I will try my very hardest to keep this character in his lovely canon form. I'm not going to give examples about why we're so similiar and whatnot, because I can play canons that are completely different from myself, but perhaps the differences between this character and I are what's going to make me play him all the better. For while I do usually understand his motivation completely, and even feel for this child in ways that some other people can't, the fact that he is also so childish and that I usually think of myself as more mature is how I'll be able to tell if I'm becoming out-of-character. When I feel rage, it's usually driven from something rather different than what this boy feels - I'll have to think like an angry child, if one wishes to say so rather simplistically. I've also attempted to track Wrath's development throughout the series and tried to calculate how his moods affect him and those around him. By doing this, I hope to keep my posts subjective and therefore get farther into his head. The way I'll play Wrath could be more dramatic and psychological because of this, but it will be Wrath, I'm just trying to get in his head.
w After looking at the personality, what do you see in this character?
Wrath, while he may not have the body of a human, certainly seems to have the mind of one. Wrath is deeply affected by the people around him, whether it was before he ate the stones or not. At first appearing easily frightened and lacking any sort of social skills whatsoever, Wrath quickly became wary of Ed's blunt and rather loud nature, causing him to cower in more than one situation. The fact that he would run to Izumi displayed this, and it also showed that regardless of whether he was homunculi or not Wrath was still just a child with the needs of any human child. He wanted to be secure, feel safe, and above all he wished to be loved. He also displayed childlike curiousity and the abundance of energy that is often expected of children. And more importantly, Wrath's lack of discipline and education was presented in a truly childlike fashion when he played with the mouse and refused to let go, despite what Ed was telling him to do. Wrath did not act out violently, but rather he danced around the room in a teasing-like manner, the same way a child would.
(Take two, or more, strong points from your character's personality, and describe them, using plenty of detail)
w What is your favorite thing about this character?
I'm not quite sure what I like best about this character, to be honest. I just know that he's my favorite, and it isn't because of what many people describe as "cuteness" as I am usually disgusted or merely just amused by cute characters. I guess I am mostly intrigued by Wrath, and perhaps I have a bit of a bias towards him. I used to be quite interested in the seven sins and virtues, taking several long personality quizzes and I always came up with Wrath in regards to sins. But he does truly interest me, and I suppose it could be because I rarely see child-like characters with depth in shows, and I certainly see plenty of depth in Wrath. While he may not often think things through, a lot of the time he was not thinking of himself when he acted impulsively, although I could go around and around in circles in regards to that thought. I suppose I feel deeply for this character in many ways, because I myself wasn't really raised by anyone but myself after a certain, albeit young, age. And I can relate to his rage in several ways.

~From a Death Note rpg that I believe you may be familiar with where I portray Yagami Raito~
Raito casually made his way out of the mall, head slightly lowered and hair seemingly covering his eyes. He carried himself in the way he deemed appropriate – tall, back straight, but not allowing himself to look too conspicuous – and kept careful watch on those around him without making it appear as such. Clearly, though, his mind was on something and while he didn’t want it to seem like he was frazzled, Raito definitely was. The slight paranoia that had begun gripping him the days after he had found the Death Note was now beginning to show up at the most inopportune times. It looked like, to Raito, that now even a simple trip to the shopping mall could be plagued with more problems then he may have tried to predict earlier.
As he went out the sliding doors and finally exited the mall, Raito gripped at the plastic bags that held his chips and his sister’s cookies as well as his new school supplies, making a slight rustling sound as he did so. He finally lifted his head, his bangs falling back into place across his forehead, and looked around for Ryuk, hoping to himself that the death god had had the patience to remain in the designated waiting spot and not cause any trouble. While Raito was pretty sure nothing had taken place or would have, he wasn’t arrogant enough to assume he knew Ryuk inside out… so therefore he refused to rule anything out. However, once his eyes sought out the shinigami and he took a look around the general area, he relaxed a small amount and went into the pocket of his blazer to make sure his purchase from his final stop in the mall remained there. His hand met with the firm, smooth feeling of an apple’s skin before he removed it. While he would have liked to get rid of the extra weight that formed in his pocket, he was not going to be giving Ryuk an apple in a place crawling with people. The last thing he needed was to have people see an apple floating in mid-air.
As Raito’s mind dragged over the event that had occurred in regards to the man he had encountered, he made his way over to the god of death, not acknowledging him just yet. Instead, he stopped and pulled out his cell phone and checked out the time, making it look like he was merely waiting for someone to come by and meet him. Then, he looked over to a bench and noticed a book. For some reason he found that odd, and looked over to Ryuk as if in question. Then with a final scan of the area and deciding that none would notice him speaking to what would look like nothing, he finally spoke.
“Ready to head back?” he asked, keeping his voice level just below normal as he made his way to the bench to pick up the book. He flipped through the pages absentmindedly after reading the title and recognizing the fact that it was Shakespeare. In all entirety, Raito was just glad he had something else to focus on other than the meeting with the man who had introduced himself as Takai. As he scanned the book he continued to speak, “Have you ever read Shakespeare, by any chance?” he said to Ryuk, not looking at him. He figured he knew why the book had been on the bench in the first place as he believed he knew full well that Ryuk would get bored easily and wouldn’t have been able to simply stand there waiting for Raito to return.
Finally Raito tossed the book back onto the bench, not even bothering to take a second look at the name that Ryuk had written in the cover. The name of the boy did not interest Raito, and therefore held little significance. But if Ryuk had in fact got a hold of the book, he wanted to know how though he didn’t bother asking. Something told Raito he shouldn’t want to know, and should just be pleased that no one had appeared to have seen it if in fact Ryuk had done something impulsive. For once Raito was very thankful that people were so involved in their own lives that they failed to notice little oddities that went on around them.
Raito sighed inwardly and, as if taking back his previous question of ‘ready to head back’, sat down on the bench and placed the plastic bags from the drug store and office supply store beside him. Perhaps all that worrying he had done inside the mall had stressed him out more than he’d thought, because at that moment he just wanted to sit there and people watch. No one really noticed people sitting on benches anyway, so he felt calmer almost immediately. Besides, now he had to think of the best way to get home… he could call for a ride home but that thought didn’t appeal to him much. Basically, he believed his two best options to be taking the bus or walking. He still believed that something was off about the man, and the prospect of being followed was rather upsetting.
