! More slowly this time, getting herself prepared for the final 'dunk', she waded out until she was in to her waist. Then, she plunged under.
Rena grinned and smiled underneath the waves, and laughed above them once her frozen body began to relax in the chilly ocean water. She was just that kind of girl; someone crazy enough to enjoy such an activity. Rena had always been a lonely person, but one who made the best of what she had. She was, quote, a "free spirit". And she liked it that way. Though often plagued by solitude, Rena loved the wind in her hair, (or at times, fur) as she ran. She loved her non-aging life. She was young, but old enough to pass as an adult. For the rest of time, the world would be her...er, wait. What was the rest of that metaphor?
Anyway, hours later, Rena emerged from the salty sea and decided to air dried in a secluded section of rocks. Once her soft skin was rid of any trace of water, she pulled on her clothes and wandered barefoot in the sand for a little. What to do now? She was starving; perhaps breakfast was a good idea. And luckily for her, there was a nice little cafe only a half hours walk from the part of the beach she was on. Grinning at the thought of food, Rena began her sprint towards her next meal. Borrowing the speed of the dormant wolf-self inside of her, the eternally nineteen year old cut the time in half.
Once she was within five minutes, her speed lowered to a trot. She didn't want to seem overly eager to the humans, though, it was probably a stupid thought; no one would care if she were abnormally hungry. And if they did, she could blame it on fast metabolism or something like that, (Biology had never been her best subject in school…). Rena was absolutely naïve in some points of life - the rather large parts, actually. But then, she was very cautious in other, little parts that seemed ridiculously stupid to normal human beings.
Upon arriving and strolling in, Rena grumbled. The cafe was full. That wasn't fair! None of these moral folk just spent hours working up an appetite in the ocean! There didn't seem to be any open seats, none at all, except for one. But the other side of said seat, there was a girl who seemed to be mulling something over. Hesitant to disrupt anything, Rena waited a few moments for another seat to open. When no such thing happened, and her stomach growled, she peeled off her jacket and started over. Surely she wouldn’t mind if Rena sat there if only until another seat opened, right?
Rena just happened to be coming from behind, so she was sure the other woman wouldn't be expecting her. Unless she had over average hearing or something. But, a step behind the girl still, Rena saw the other body was looking up; which of course, resulted in Rena mimicking the notion. She squinted, oblivious to the dry salt that clung to her cheeks and arms (and legs, under the demin). There, she was seeing a spot on the ceiling. "What in the world is that?" she questioned, her voice overly perky, (yet curious as always). [/blockquote]

ZLet’s test your abilities-For canons
Zw What canon are you applying for?
- Riza Hawkeye
w Are you sure you can keep this canon in character? Why? Details, please.
- I’m certain I can keep this canon, Riza, in character; or I’ll do my absolute best to do so. Why? First, she’s always been one of my favorite characters and she is probably the one I know best out of the entire series. This is probably because like most that have a favorite character, I pay particularly close attention when Riza pops up on the screen. Granted, between the Manga and Anime, her character differs a tad. It should be fairly easy to decipher between them, though, for me. Honestly, it's a slightly scary thought; that if I weren't to claim her, and another person who can't tell the difference between the two did. It would mess up a lot when it came to certain threads, I believe. Not that Riza is an overly active-slash-important character, but she does have significant rolls.
Also, If I were to do any other canon, I probably would have a much harder time keeping him/her in character. Simply, I can’t relate to any other said canon in any other way. I'd be absolutely terrified to try then mess up big time. At least while playing Riza, I have a high chance of getting it right.
And second, to be frank, it seems to me that she is fairly easy to play. Though I may not seem it on the outside, I share some common ground when it comes to Riza’s personality; which, I suppose, could be one reason I like her so much. And since I do have these few similarities, that should make it easier over all for me to get Riza’s posts down right in Role Play.
w After looking at the personality, what do you see in this character?
- Apart from personality, I see a strong woman who can keep a cool head in stressful situations. I see someone who is the voice of reason to those who jump the gun – no pun intended. An overall ideal person to be around, wouldn't you say? Riza is always one who thinks things through, thankfully, and I like that about her. Again, that ties in with the whole ‘keeping a calm mind’ deal. Though these points are true enough, Riza is also one who is not afraid to act on a dime. She is very loyal to those who she may (or may not) consider friends, especially so to her Military superior, Roy Mustang. And through her loyalty, she is able to act in the way she thinks is best for the overall good and health of her comrades - even if it goes against immediate orders.
w What is your favorite thing about this character?
- My favorite thing about this character is that she is so level-headed. Not many people can do what she can in the situations she is provided with. And though it seems unintentional on her part, she is also able to provide some comic relief with her painfully blunt statements, which I find very amusing. She's defiantly not afraid to give some subtle back-sass if she really wants to.
w Please give a roleplay sample. It can be from a different site, or made up on the spot.
- Provided by the site, Vampires Vs. Werewolves where I play Aine O'conner and Rena Fuurde
Rena Fuurde.Werewolf.Ocean adventurer. And Miss wonders-out-loud.Mornings by the beach were always fun, wouldn't you agree? Of course one being, Rena, most defiantly would. She was one of the few that took full advantage of the empty ocean waves at four o' three, AM. Er, maybe the only one? Yes, upon arrival, the young Werewolf found that no one besides herself resided on the sandy beach. What happened to, 'the more, the merrier'? A frown crossed her lips briefly before she shrugged it off. All the more ocean for her!
The mahogany haired woman, (young lady, rather) stripped down, leaving her black knee-length coat, ripped jeans, and white tank top on the sand. With one of those all-too famous goofy grins she was known for, Rena ran into the water. She was only knee deep before yelping and sprinting back to shore. Damn! It was cold

ZShow what you know-For everyone
Zw History:
(History from Anime limited; Winry-chan says that I can use the Manga history)
- Hawkeye's past is not something she discusses on a daily basis. In fact, it is only through time that it is reveled to select people that she trusts. Even then, it is almost unintentional that her childhood is shared.
It isn't until late in the series that Riza is shown to be the daughter of Roy's alchemy teacher. It is told that her father has passed the secrets of his powerful alchemy on to her. This is possible in relate to the marking on her back, though it isn't known for sure. In Riza's conversation with Edward [chapter 58], it is also revealed she was in her last year of military training when sent to the battlefield of the Ishbal War. When Riza's past goes into further detail, it depicts her in the Ishbal War, and her reintroduction to Roy as a military member. She is charged with the job as a sniper, and she saved Roy Mustang and Maes Hughes from an ambush by an Ishabalan.
