w What canon are you applying for? Winry Rockbell
w Are you sure you can keep this canon in character? Why? Details, please. Winry is a fun, outspoken, and, in a sense, hyperactive girl—which is just the type of character I like to play. I love how she can hit the Elric brothers with a wrench, and still stay best friends with them. She seems to handle their absence well. I act a lot like her in real life; I can go from totally happy to pissed off in no time flat, I get hyperactive when excited, I just don’t smack people with tools.
I think I can keep Winry in character because I’ve paid close attention to her throughout the series, as one normally does with a favorite character. I’ve also experienced some of the same things; losing a parent at a young age, having friends leave home. All the mechanic talk may be a bit difficult at times, but I’m sure I can play Winry, by acting like I usually do.
w After looking at the personality, what do you see in this character? After looking at Winry’s personality, I see she is strong; though she lost her parents as a small child, she still managed to cheer up as she grew older, which is a difficult thing for most people. Two of her closest friends left (and burned) their home, yet she didn’t leave home in search of them. She accepted the fact and still helps them out when they come back to Resembool.
She is also crafty, in her own way. She can get the Elric brothers to do just about anything for her, without having to pull the fake tears act. Granted, Al usually helps her convince Ed. She, along with Pinako, can make great automail, having the mechanic skill to make the automail lighter or more durable than that from other mechanics, and can have it ready in just a few days. She takes great pride in her work, getting angry, and in most cases, getting violent, when her automail is insulted.
w What is your favorite thing about this character? My favorite part about Winry is the way she can switch moods so quickly. I also like her persistence.
w Please give a roleplay sample. It can be from a different site, or made up on the spot. From a Naruto roleplay, as Shizune.
Shizune felt the Hokage’s eyes on her. She took a side glance, just in time to see Tsunade look back at Arina. She was puzzled; was Tsunade thinking of sending her to accompany Arina for her trip? Not that Shizune would mind, of course. She was a friendly person, but who would watch over Tsunade in her absence?
Maybe Tsunade will do her work without me watching her… Shizune mentally rolled her eyes. She knew the blond Hokage to well for that. She knew that the second she was gone, Tsunade would leave the office and go gambling, or drinking. Or both. Who knew what kind of chaos that would bring? No one giving missions, no one in charge… Shizune nearly shuddered. Though it might’ve been fun, escorting Arina was out of the question. Unless Tsunade got someone else to watch over her, Shizune would have to stay here.
Poisons, hm? Shizune raised an eyebrow. I see. So that’s why Tsunade-sama was looking at me Shizune started to reconsider. It might not take very long… and since Arina uses poisons, I might be able to teach her a few things Shizune knew the decision was entirely up to Tsunade, and she respected that. But she couldn’t help wondering what Arina already knew about poisons, what she could do with them. Probably not very much, being that she’s still a genin Shizune thought. But maybe if I trained her a little… She’d be a chuunin in no time. She liked the idea of having a student, having someone to look up to her. But, would it really be fair to teach just one genin? Or would she be assigned a team?
Again; entirely up to Tsunade.
Poison triple blade… Again, something poked at Shizune’s interest. She knew better than to get her hopes high, but she wondered what this weapon could do, wondered what it looked like. Was it just a sort of sword with three blades? Or was it more complex? Did it have any special techniques? Too many questions for Shizune to handle right now. Arina’s request was the main concern.
“Well, you’ll need an escort then,” Shizune gave a small smile, looking back at Arina. The blond genin seemed to have a few things going on in her heard, too. “Of course, it isn’t my decision. It’s up to Tsunade-sama to pick the person.”
